Hey there, so I am looking for a horse for lease, I found this guy, what do yout hink of him?

http://horsetopia.horse-for-sale.org/classifieds/ad275140

Only problem is, I emailed the owner, and she said that I would only be able to ride two times a week, and that somebody else already has a lease on him, do you think I should do it? or no?

Here's some pictures: http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a241/KStrong86/Hobb/

And this is the email she replied to:
Hi there!

Hobb is boarded at a full service, brand new barn. The barn name is Wyndem Rose in Webster, MN. You can google Wyndem Rose Stable and it should be the first or second link that pops up. Its roughly 20 minutes south of Lakeville. 120 x 80 heated indoor arena, 200 x 100 outdoor arena, land to ride on and a heated lounge. Theres more pictures on the website if you go to it. We have a lot of fun - organized trail rides, barn parties, game day, the whole ordeal

Hobb stands a bit shy of 16H, hes long and hes on the narrow side of things (although hes gotten a bit of a belly on him in the past few years ) He is a jack of all trades - he has about 4 or 5 years of professional training in huntseat, and he has shown quite a bit in Class A Arabian shows... Locally we have also done western pleasure, showmanship and halter. In the past three years he and I have dedicated more time to relaxing and trying new things - dressage, jumping, trail, games, etc. So hes very versitile. He needs a rider that knows how to walk/trot/canter, but like my 8 year old neighbor walk/trot/canter/jumps him and she does great, so youth riders are no problem. Then theres my 45 year old uncle, who knows nothing about horses, gets on him and walk/trot/canters him just fine. Hes really a big sweetheart - makes funny faces, "snuggles", participates in coversations, the whole ordeal! His trot is very smooth, and hes got a nice rocking horse canter. He is not hot headed at all - actually hes pretty lazy. On occassion he will look at something, but he doesn't jump all the way across the arena or anything. He walks over tarps, flower boxes, he jumps the stream out on the property... hes just a good guy with a huge heart. He has his own tack, brushes, tack locker, saddles, etc.

The contract is $150 for two days a week, plus 1/3 of vet and farrier. Board is $450 a month, to put it in perspective. I do have a complete contract drawn up - I have a girl that leases him two days a week right now, so it would be the same exact contract that she has. I can send it along if you are interested, but basically it states that the horse is still mine, all decisions are made by me, the horse is not allowed to be taken from the property without my consent, etc. I pay for all blankets, halters, supplements, etc... So you are only respondsible for the $150 a month and the 1/3 of vet and farrier.

If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know. If you would like to come meet him, try him out and see what you think, you are more then welcome to come out. Heres some videos and lots of pictures of him: http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a241/KStrong86/Hobb/
Oh by the way, I'm 14 going on 15, and i've been looking for a horse for a while, he seems like a good guy. Just not sure about the whole only riding twice a week thing.
Thanks for the advice guys! I'm already taking two lessons a week through my barn. I might have found a lease at the barn that I take lessons at. You all illustrated a very good point, while he seems nice, I don't think my mum is willing to pay $150 plus 1/3 of the vet bill.

I posted it because I can't seem to find anything else. x.x;;

My dad and I went camping up in the mountains and we took the horses, so we went on a trail ride that we hadn't been on before and it had a lot more rocks on it than we had expected. Our horses are barefoot (and used to it) so it definitely hurt their hooves and they probably have a few bruises. All their other hooves are fine but both horses back left hoof is a bit tender and sore. We aren't going to ride them until they are sound again. They can walk fairly fine, but they still limp occasionally and more often on rocks. I'm estimating about four days to a week, but I want a second opinion. How long will they be lame for?
Gamer girl: I don't need a vet for this, it's extremely mild and I just want to know how long I need to wait before they will be okay. I bet you didn't even read the description--if you're going to be rude then go somewhere else. I'm not going to tolerate it.

I had this dream were there was all these dead people and they were trying to kill us.
So we stole a jeep with two people that had been killed inside.. (we meaning julia and me. Jordan and shane would come into the picture later.)
But all of a sudden the two dead people became alive and they wanted to kill us. So.... i slammed on the gas petalthen on the brakes. the two evil epople went flying into the window and me and julia ran out of the jeep. Then all of a sudden jordana nd shane were with us and we ran into a underground hall way. And apparently the under ground hallway was part of a house because all of a sudden we were in a huge mansion. Whioch was filled with dead people (of course) And they were coming after us. So was ran down this hall and ran into a romm that had boxs with sheet over them./They came into the room but couldnt find us. So after they left we ran into another room. It had a little dead girl in it and she was sleeping. I hid under a bed and julia hid behind a rocking horse and jordan hid in a toy box. (there was two beds in the room I hid under the one she wasnt sleeping on) So she woke up and saw shane. She called for her dad and he came running in. He came in and (woot!) no more shane (: So then while the dad was eating shane the little girl spotted me. I had a brilient idea. there was a rocking horse near me and apparntly the little girl loved rocking horses so i pointed to it then to me. Thn she smiled and went to sleep xD. After the dad was done me julia and jordan ran out and onto this huge green hill. Te sun was setting and we knew everything would be alright because just over that hill there were no dead people?
Yup.
Weird dream huh?
This is not a reoccuring dream

A big horse doll with a mane she can brush? or a rocking horse/ or, like a red wagon or ride n' go thing that can be pushed around and that she can ride in?
the thing is, is I already got her a cute stuffed pony. also, when she saw the rocking horses, she got all excited. But my her grandma on her dad's side HAS cute rocking horse in storage that she plans on giving her, but not til her 2nd b-day. says she's still 'too young".
is she too big for a radioflyer wagon now at 17 months?
I'm thinking the best gift based on all these things would be something she can take outside and that I can push her in it outside, bc our apartment is already kinda small and cluttered.
But what do you mommies think?
i already got her a lot of nice but semi-little things, including fake broom/dustpan set, grocery cart w/food, abby cadabby baby doll (that's a big one), an frying pan with toy spatula and fake food, a stuffed pony as mentioned before, a tea set, and she's getting a little fake electronic dishwasher from my mom, and i plan on getting her a couple of books and also one more stuffed animal, a cute brown rabbit. but i still want to get her something big.

My friend is wondering how much she should sell her horse for. Only reason why she is selling her horse is because the horse is too easy to ride for her and she thinks she needs a more challenging horse. If she gets enough money this week, then she will keep this horse and get another one too. I will tell you about her horse below :
Name : Sparky
Gender : Gelding
Age : 13 years old
Breed : Appaloosa
Registered? (Yes or no?) : Double registered
Show name : Sparky Spots
Color & markings : He is a whitey, pinky roan. He has lots of brown and black spots mostly on his rump
Details : Sparky is broke to ride Western and English. He is easy to catch, halter, ties, picks up his feet nicely, trailers like a dream, bathes, blankets, bridles, etc. He also is broke to pull a cart single and double with no problem. He gets along well with other horses and is not herdbound whatsoever. He is great around little kids, he has been ridden by 3 year olds to 80 year olds. He is great with beginners and NEVER tests his rider! He has NEVER bucked, bolted, bitted, reared, etc. My friend has had him since he was born and he was VERY, VERY easy to train! He has been to many shows such as 4ft jumping courses, western pleasure, etc. He loves shows, and is always easy to handle. NEVER gets high spirited. He has a very smooth trot, rocking-horse canter, AWESOMELY SMOOTH GALLOP! He has been in : pony club, 4-H, jumping competitions, halter classes when foal, trail riding alone or group, riding in mountains, western pleasure, dressage, barrel racing, pole bending, trot race, ... I swear this horse has DONE EVERYTHING IN HIS WHOLE LIFE! You can walk under neath him, even sit there for minutes, stand on his bath with saddle or bareback, make him bow, ... He is a great horse! Wish I had pictures of him but I don't!
How much is he worth?
Thanks,

I'm sorry, I know its not poetry but it is creative writing. Could you please tell me what you think? It's for my English class.

The wind whipped around the barn as if threatening to blow the frail shell of a building away. The arena doors were swung wide allowing for a view of the pasture with its horses grazing contentedly and its trees aflame with reds and yellows. The crowd was seated on bales of hay, cheering enthusiastically as horses and riders ran through their events. On many of the stalls were colorful displays of ribbons already earned in the day’s earlier classes. Knowing my event would be approaching soon I could feel the anticipation building in my chest.
I headed toward the list to see which horse I would be riding, but before I could get there I was approached by my trainer’s assistant. “You’re riding storm,” she said, dismay clearly evident in her voice. I had never ridden Storm before, mainly because I had heeded to my fellow students warnings; he was a stubborn old gelding not worth the time. The anticipation in my chest was replaced with disappointment. I walked towards the list to see who else was in my event and as I looked my disappointment grew deeper. I recognized the names of the other horses, almost all of them priceless, well-trained thoroughbreds. We didn’t have a prayer.
In his stall while tacking up, I took in a good observation of him. He was certainly old, his swayed back was testimony to it. His white coat was stained and his whiskers needed trimming, but there was something else there. It was evident by his slender legs, long neck and broad chest that he was a thoroughbred, that perhaps back in his prime he was something more. Curiosity got the best of me and I checked his mouth. Sure enough the tattoo was there under his lip, a series of numbers and letters that were at one point his racing ID. This information, however, seemed immaterial. That was decades ago and now he was nothing but an old school horse. His drooping head and half closed eyes looked less than enthusiastic.
They were handing out the ribbons from the previous class and the people in my event began mounting up. We stood out like a sore thumb among the young, shiny, blacks and bays. Our class was musical stalls. While it may seem like a foolish children’s game, on horseback it’s entirely different. They called it the suicide class. It was the most dangerous of the events with riders maneuvering their horses at break-neck speeds around sharp turn and fighting for the last stall, often colliding into each other.
The music began. I slackened the reins and nudged with my heels. He was reluctant at first, but eventually moved into a rhythmic, three-beat lope. Other horses flew past us and their speed seemed incomparable to Storm’s rocking horse pace. The music stopped and we made into a stall with ease. It was only the first round. This was not much of an accomplishment. Miraculously we somehow made it past the second round, and the third, and the fourth, and the fifth, but it seemed only by luck. Each time we had been rather close to a stall.
It came down to the last round, us verses a sleek young giant of a horse. Luck wouldn’t be enough this time. We would have to buckle down, but did Storm really have it? The music began and again we picked up a nice steady canter. “Come on Storm,” I whispered, “You’ve got it.” First place was so close, but yet it seemed impossible. The music stopped and I felt that knot in my stomach. The other horse was only just ahead of us and his rider moved him into a full gallop. In that moment something flickered in Storm’s eye. The thrill of competition was new again and he knew what he had to do. His eras were laid back and he rushed forward, head lowered, hooves pounding, eating up the ground. I stood in my stirrups and lowered my body in line with his neck. We caught up with the other horse and before I knew it we had passed them, but in the excitement we managed to pass the stall. My heart sank. We were so close and we had lost it. I began to pull him in and looked behind me. The other horse was at out heels. Somehow we had both made the same foolish mistake. The race was still on. We were neck and neck down the stretch and around the bend. The stall was coming up. I gave Storm one last nudge and we were flying.
He made it into the stall without me even having to signal to him. I hugged his neck and he tossed his head. He knew good and well that he had one. Our ribbon was presented and I hung it on his browband rather than holding onto it myself. He deserved it. He had brought me victory, a blue ribbon, and something much more. He taught me that even in impossible situations, where there is a will there is a way and that talent can be found in even the most unexpected places.
