The beginning of this song reminds me of the intro of a game called LED Storm

Same dooblyblooblydoobly kind of thing going on in the beginning.

I miss my childhood and the 80’s, where every cartoon was always about teamwork, and working together to overcome evil, in the most kickass way possible. The rock, the hair, the style, the way they made you feel pumped after watching the shows. When i used to finish watching M.A.S.K as a kid I always had to go out in the garden to unleash all the energy I’d absorbed from the cartoon! Good times!

@dkyx Well it seems you’re right, Noam is indeed credited for MASK but I also found the name I forgot from long ago. The guy responsible for Jayce aswell as MASK (!!) is a greek singer/composer called Nick Carr (real name Nikos Karvelas). This guy’s 80’s cartoon history is strangely vague but he does pop up together with Noam in a few searches.

@cybertronization Incorrect :) Listen to Mysterious Cities of Gold intro, listen carefully to Noam’s voice there and then take a listen to Jayce and MASK’s intros. They aren’t the same. It’s true that Noam did alot but these particular ones aren’t sung by him.
I forgot about this once again so I’ll start looking around for the MASK/Jayce singer a bit more thoroughly now. I knew his name once, I’ll be damned if I won’t find it again.

@dkyx The *M.A.S.K.* theme was sung by a guy named Noam Kaniel. He sung the theme songs for almost every DIC Entertainment cartoon in the ’80s. He sang the theme song for the He-Man/She-Ra movie *The Secret of the Sword* for Filmation, titled “I Have the Power.”

Sickofu100 September 3, 2010 at 9:06 am

This song starts off pretty cool, and it sounds like it’s going to have a cool 80s sound and it does, but then it seems to fall flat to my ears.

coffinfeeder2007 September 3, 2010 at 9:32 am

im about to cover this tune, me and my friend used to race home everyday after shcool to catch the episodes then we would meet up and play with the toys we had. Mask kicks ass!
